I had some hand cut felt hearts left over from an old project which my 2 year old son discovered in the scrap box. He wanted to make something so I while I had his full attention I quickly came up with this craft project that is simple and easy enough to do with toddlers.
You will need:
Pre-cut felt hearts (or you can cut out your own from scrap felt)
Child-friendly glue
Wooden Skewers
1. Take a heart and squirt with glue.
2. Place one end of the skewer on the heart in the glue
3. Stick another felt heart on top. Press firmly.
4. Repeat as necessary.
We put our heart toppers in a plant pot to add a pop of colour but you could use them to decorate cakes for parties or weddings too! We used hearts because that is what we had to hand but you could use circles, triangles or squares for different looks.
Look at the cute little hands at work ! Nice simple idea for a 2 year old.
